About us

TMAI is Indonesia’s first fully integrated solar manufacturing company, producing both solar cells and solar panels. With an initial production capacity of 1 GW and scalability up to 3 GW, TMAI is committed to accelerating Indonesia’s transition toward clean and sustainable energy. Our manufacturing facility is strategically located in the Kendal Industrial Park, Special Economic Zone, Central Java.

TMAI is established as a joint venture between Trinasolar and strategic Indonesian partners, PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk and PT IP PLN Renewables. This collaboration combines global technological expertise with strong local capabilities, enabling TMAI to deliver high-quality, reliable, and competitive solar PV product for both domestic and international markets.

PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia (TMAI) is a joint venture company formed through the collaboration of three leading entities in the energy sector.

Trinasolar is a global leader in solar technology and smart energy solutions. Trina Solar is engaged in the research and development, production, and sales of photovoltaic (PV) modules; power stations and system products; PV power generation, as well as operation and maintenance services. Trina also develops sells intelligent and microgrids, multi-energy systems, and operates energy cloud platforms.

Trinasolar's modules are recognized for their high quality and performance and have been certified as Tier-l bankable solar modules (AAA) by Bloomberg.

PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSS), a member of Sinar Mas, specializes in energy and infrastructure while actively expanding into renewable energy investments. Through its subsidiary, PT Daya Sukses Makmur Selaras (DSMS), DSS is driving large-scale solar PV projects to promote sustainable energy.

As part of Sinar Mas, founded by EkaTjipta Widjaja, DSS benefits from the group's diverse portfolio across sevenkey sectors: Pulp and Paper, Agribusiness, Financial Services, Telecommunication, Energy & Infrastructure, and Health & Education.

TMAI Grand Opening Ceremony

On 19 June 2025, TMAI celebrated its Grand Opening ceremony. The event was officially inaugurated by Indonesia's Minister of Industry, Mr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita. This moment marked the beginning of TMAI’s operational journey and its commitment to advancing renewable energy manufacturing in Indonesia.

On 30 October 2024, the Soft Opening Ceremony marks the initial launch of operations, symbolizing a significant milestone in the establishment of TMAI. On 27 September 2024, the First Module Piece Ceremony is a significant event marking the production of the first photovoltaic module at TMAI. It symbolizes the successful completion of setup and readiness for mass production of module workshop.
