Advancing TKDN Optimization for a Stronger National Solar Industry
KENDAL, May 6, 2026 – PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia (TMAI) warmly welcomed an industrial visit from the board members and representatives of the Indonesian Solar Module Manufacturers Association (APAMSI) to TMAI’s manufacturing facility in Kendal, Central Java. The visit marked a strategic step forward in strengthening the shared commitment of both parties to advancing Indonesia’s renewable energy industry.
The event was attended by TMAI’s management team, including Mr. Johan Hadi Wardoyo, Commercial Director of TMAI, and Mr. Xu Ming, Operations Director of TMAI. Leading the APAMSI delegation was Mr. I Made Sandika Dwiantara, Chairman of APAMSI, accompanied by fellow association members.
A key focus of the meeting and facility tour was the discussion on optimizing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) within Indonesia’s solar panel industry. By increasing the utilization of locally sourced components, domestic products are expected not only to enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s renewable energy manufacturing sector but also to create broader opportunities for the growth of the national manufacturing ecosystem.
Furthermore, strengthening the industry’s value chain—from upstream to downstream sectors—is projected to generate significant positive impacts, including greater local employment opportunities and accelerated progress toward Indonesia’s green and sustainable energy transition.
Through the strong synergy between industry players and associations such as TMAI and APAMSI, this collaborative effort is expected to contribute meaningfully to achieving national industrial self-reliance. Together, we are advancing toward a stronger, more resilient manufacturing sector and a sustainable energy future for Indonesia.
