Solar Energy Contribution to Support Water Pumps
The inauguration of the Solar-Powered Water Pump (PATS) in Sayung District, Demak Regency, was held on December 31, 2025, as a concrete effort to address the recurring tidal flooding (rob) issues in the coastal area. This program represents an innovative step by utilizing renewable energy, making it more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
The inauguration was officiated directly by the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, and was supported by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia, along with active participation from the local community. This PATS installation is the first of its kind in Central Java and is expected to serve as an effective solution to reduce water inundation and mitigate the impact of tidal flooding that has long disrupted the daily activities of residents in the coastal area of Sayung.

The purpose of installing the Solar-Powered Water Pump (PATS) in Sayung District is to provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution to mitigate tidal flooding (rob) and reduce water inundation in coastal areas. This initiative aims to improve the quality of life for local residents, support community resilience, and utilize renewable energy as an efficient long-term approach to flood management.

The implementation of this program involves collaboration between the local government, PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia through its CSR program, and the surrounding community. The system is designed using solar energy to operate water pumps that help discharge excess water from affected areas. In addition, community involvement is emphasized in the operation and maintenance process to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the system. Regular monitoring and evaluation are also conducted to optimize performance and ensure the system continues to address the tidal flooding issues effectively.
